Alexander "Bubba" Harris Sr.
GREAT- GRANDFATHER
My Great-Grandaddy, the first to the lineage of the name Alexander was born and named, Mr. Alexander Harris, Sr. My Great-Grandaddy was a Seaman Merchant, from the stories I gathered from my family, specifically from his daughter, my Aunt Cynthia.
My Grandaddy Bubba was a mild mannered man who loved his family dearly. I am certain his love for his family was also a learned behavior for my Grandaddy Slim or Jr. to some, and my Uncle Popp. My mother told me my Grandaddy Bubba was an excellent cook with sharp knife skills.

Alexander "Slim" or "Junior" Harris Jr.
GRANDFATHER
If you knew my Grandaddy, Slim, or Junior to some of his family members, you were in for full day of laughs and listening to meaningful conversations and stories, in turn walking away with several lessons learned. You see, my Grandaddy, Alexander Harris, Jr., was a Vietnam Veteran in the Marine Corps.
My Grandaddy was also an owner operator 18- wheelerTruck Driver; both locally and on the road, having driven many miles across the map when GPS was literally non existent; smart he was. My Grandaddy also had a heart of gold and his love for others was genuine to the core. I wished many could have experienced the love he had for his family and friends, as he was especially protective of his family; and no one was exempt from that protection.
My grandaddy also had a deep passion for cooking for his family. He and my Grandmother Pinky had 7 children; 6 girls and 1 Son, yes 1 Son, but I'll tell you about my Uncle later. My Grandaddy was also known for his southern fried chicken, however with his own special twist nobody could master, even after careful observation and studying.
My Grandaddys southern fried chicken was crunchy, juicy, well seasoned, and fried golden to a brown crisp. If you experienced devouring his southern fried chicken, if you knew, you just knew. So, in honor of my Grandaddy, Mr. Alexander Harris, Jr., and although he is no longer with us and resting, and until we meet again I decided to name my food trailer and fried chicken, "Slim's Southern Fried Chicken."

Alexander "Popp" Harris III.
UNCLE
My Uncle, Alexander Harris, III AKA "Popp"was a force to be wrecking with; that is, when it came to his jokes or roasting someone. A true comedian he was. To have me tell it, my Uncle Popp was funny but always about his business too. My Uncle Popp was also an Owner Operator 18 Wheeler Truck Driver, learning the ropes from my Grandaddy, his Daddy.
My Uncle also loved and cared for both of his children Alexis and Poppie, just as my Great Grandaddy and Grandaddy did for their children; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren learned behaviors one would say. But wouldn'nt you know it, my Uncle Popp could slam in the kitchen too, i.e., BBQ Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Ro-tel hamburger Dip, a "good ole," his words, Chef Salad he made for me one day, and so much more.
Although my Uncle Popp is no longer with us anymore, and until we meet again, I decided to name my signature drink after my Uncle Popp called, "Poppa Smurf Blue Lemonade."
